General description

Conforms to USP Reference Standard.
Steroid synthesized by the adrenal cortex. Important in the regulation of protein, nucleic acid, and lipid metabolism. Pharmacologically, hydrocortisone is used to suppress the inflammatory response. This preparation conforms to the USP Reference Standard.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, store in the refrigerator (4°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 1 month at 4°C.
