General description
A zwitterionic detergent. Lauryldimethylbetaine is useful as a detergent for solubilization of membrane components and for preparation of viral agents. Also useful for the solubilization of keratins. Has a critical micellar concentration of 1.6-2.1 mM.
Physical form
30% ±1% aqueous solution.
Preparation Note
Can be further diluted with H₂O to the desired concentration.
