General description
Paraformaldehyde is a cross-linking fixative. It is changed to formaldehyde by heating and by adding small amount of sodium hydroxide.
Application
Paraformaldehyde is recommended for use in the preparation of formalin fixatives for tissues or cells when the samples are to be used in florescence studies.
