DLPC-Cyanine 5 is a 12:0 PC joined with a fluorescent probe. DLPC is commonly used to study lipid bilayers and membrane proteins; it is also used in liposome formation.

Features and Benefits

Cyanine probes have a similar fluorescent profile to traditional dyes such as fluorescein but have increased photostability and water solubility. These probes can be detected using a variety of fluorescence detection techniques such as microscopy and flow cytometry.
