Application
Biotin labeled bovine albumin has been used as a component in myosin V processivity experiments. It has also been used to provide biotin tags for neutravidin coating and also to suppress nonspecific cell adhesion during preparation of tension gauge tether (TGT) surface.
Biotin-conjugated bovine serum albumin binds selectively to different vascular subsets in lymphoid tissues, as demonstrated by both fluorescent and enzymohistochemical techniques, and thus offers a histochemical probe for identification of select microvascular endothelia in lymphoid tissues.

In spleen, biotin-BSA binds to red pulp sinuses, but not white pulp vessels (including the central arteriole) nor the marginal sinus. In the thymus, prominent binding was restricted to the capillaries of the corticomedullary area.

We use photothermal microscopy to detect and image individual gold nanoparticles that are either embedded in a polymer film or immobilized in an aqueous environment. Reducing the numerical aperture of the detection optics allows us to achieve a 200-fold-enlarged detection

Kinesin is a motor protein that plays important roles in a variety of cellular functions. In vivo, multiple kinesin molecules are bound to cargo and work as a team to produce larger forces or higher speeds than a single kinesin.

In this article, we summarize the knowledge and best practices learned from bulk and single-molecule measurements to address some of the frequently experienced difficulties in single-molecule Förster resonance energy transfer (smFRET) measurements on G-quadruplex (GQ) structures.
