General description

Un noir de carbone graphité (GCB) peut être poreux ou non poreux. Le processus de graphitisation donne une surface de grande pureté, dotée d′excellentes propriétés d′adsorption et de désorption (si nécessaire). Les interactions de surface dépendent uniquement des forces de dispersion (forces de London). Ces particules sont :
  • Granulaires
  • Friables
  • Utilisées pour les analytes dont la taille correspond à des n-alcanes en C3-C20+
  • Hydrophobes (pour être utilisées dans les environnements particulièrement humides)

D′une manière générale, les adsorbants du type GCB présentent une force d′adsorption relative plus faible que les adsorbants du type tamis moléculaire de carbone (CMS), et une force d'adsorption relative similaire à celle des adsorbants du type carbone polymère graphitisé sphérique (SGPC). Nos produits Carbopack sont des adsorbants du type GCB.
  • Les particules font maximum 40 mesh.
  • Partez sur 40/60 mesh pour éviter les cheminements préférentiels (s′ils apparaissent avec un adsorbant Carbotrap® de 20/40 mesh).
  • Utilisez une taille plus petite (60/80, 80/100, etc.) pour toutes les autres applications.
  • Optez pour la granulométrie la plus faible à disposition, à condition que l′application supporte la perte de charge.

    Carbopack B is a graphitized carbon black (GCBs) whcih has been prepared for use in gas-solid chromatographic separations of light hydrocarbons and other volatile gases. Carbopack B has a surface area of 100 meters2/gram and meets the requirements of USP code S12.

  4. Can 20273 Carbopack B be used as an Air Monitoring Adsorbent?

    Yes - Carbopack B traps many Airborne C4-C8 compounds.

  5. What does the term "mesh" mean?

    The mesh number refers to the number of wires in a screening process. The larger the mesh size the smaller the particle size. 60/80 mesh allows a particle size range of 180-250um.

  6. Is this product a packed column?

    This is packing material only; it is not a column. Some endusers will purchase this bottle of packing and prepare their own packed columns.

  7. How can I purchase a column that is packed with this material?
