General description
4,5-Diaminofluorescein diacetate (DAF-2 DA) solution is a membrane-permeable fluorescent probe, which measures nitric oxide (NO) in living cells. It is used to study the synthesis of NO in bovine aortic endothelial cells (BAECs). DAF-2 DA imaging shows that ciliated epithelial cells produces high amount of NO than non-epithelial inflammatory cells.
Application
Cell-permeable fluorescent detector of nitric oxide in living cells.
Legal Information
DAF-2 is manufactured by Daiichi Pure Chemicals Co., LTD.

Alexander disease (AxD) is a fatal neurodegenerative disorder caused by mutations in glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), which supports the structural integrity of astrocytes. Over 70 GFAP missense mutations cause AxD, but the mechanism linking different mutations to disease-relevant phenotypes
