Cell Dissociation Solution Non-enzymatic 1x has been used for the dissociation of retinal astrocytes culture, U87 glioblastoma tumor cells and cardiac stem cells (CSCs).
Special non-enzymatic formulation for gently dislodging adherent cell types from plastic or glass surfaces.

General description

Cell dissociation by non-enzymatic methods in human mesenchymal stromal cells aid in their detachment and preserves their functionality especially the expression of cell surface chemokine receptor.

    We have only used with monolayer cell culture, and therefore we have no information on its usage with tissue.

    Yes, it does contain EDTA; the concentration is proprietary.

  7. Does Product C5914, Cell Dissociation Solution, work with epithelial cells?

    It will work with most cell types.

  8. When trypsin is used to detach cells, one usually adds fetal bovine serum (FBS) to the media. Should FBS be used with Product C5914, Cell Dissociation Solution?

    No. FBS is used to inactivate trypsin. This product is not enzymatic, so there is no need to use FBS. The cells can be washed with phosphate buffered saline (PBS). When the cells are to be cultured, then one would need to add FBS.
