General description
LUDOX® TM-50 colloidal silica is an aqueous dispersion of silica particles with intermediate particle size and narrow particle size distribution.
Application
LUDOX® TM-50 colloidal silica can be used:
- As a silica source to synthesize tetrapropylammonium(TPA)-silicate-1 colloidal particles.
- As a removable template to prepare mesoporous carbon materials by using a resorcinol-formaldehyde resin as a carbon precursor.
- As a separation layer to synthesize non-spherical flexible poly(butylacrylate) (PBA) polymer particles by concentrated emulsion polymerization.
