General description

Tks4 (gene symbol SH3PXD2B) is a novel adaptor protein; also known as SH3 and PX domain-containing protein 2B, (Courtneidge, 2005). It is closely related to Tks5 (gene symbol SH3PXD2A) and like Tks5, appears to play a role in the formation and function of podosome/invadopodia based on studies of Src-transformed fibroblasts (Buschman, 2009). Additionally, Tks4 may be involved in the recruitment of MT1-MMP and ECM degradation.
Tks4 is broadly expressed and localizes in the cytoplasm of the podosome.
~ 130 kDa

Immunogen

Epitope: a. a. 257-477
Recombinant protein containing amino acids 257-477 of mouse Tks4.

Application
