General description
This peptone is obtained by pancreatic digestion of alimentary or food-grade bovine casein. The enzymes used are of porcine origin. Produced through a method aimed at removing inorganic salts, the peptone exhibits a high protein content and slightly acidic pH in solution. With a low ash content, it is suitable for culturing a diverse array of microorganisms, promoting the growth of various genera, including Bacillus, Lactococci, and several mesophilic or thermophilic Actinomycetes.

Appearance: Lightly yellow to lightly brownishyellow fine powder. Characteristic, not rotten smell.

Total nitrogen (N) (Kjeldahl): 13.8 - 15.8 %
