General description

Recombinant, human activin A (disulfide-linked homodimer of two 116-amino acid residue βA subunits) expressed in CHO cells. Mature βA-monomer lacks a potential N-linked glycosylation site and has a calculated molecular mass of 13 kDa. Activins are members of the TGF-β superfamily and have been shown to play an important role in the regulation of homonogenesis, cellular homeostasis, and differentiation programs.
