General description

LiChrospher® RP-8 is a reliable and versatile traditionally produced spherical silica gel carrier with C-8 reversed phase properties. It is well suited for the separation of neutral, acidic and weak basic compounds.

Application

  • Development and validation of a HPLC-UV method for the determination in didanosine tablets.: This study presents a validated HPLC-UV method optimized using LiChrospher® 100 RP-8 (5 µm) for analyzing didanosine in tablet formulations, offering a reliable tool for quality control in pharmaceutical environments (de Oliveira et al., 2005).

  • Determination of steroid hormones in oral contraceptives by high-performance liquid chromatography.: Utilizes LiChrospher® 100 RP-8 (5 µm) to effectively separate and quantify steroid hormones in oral contraceptive pills, demonstrating the column′s applicability in complex pharmaceutical analyses (Inês et al., 2002).

  • Determination of fluoroquinolone residues in animal tissues by liquid chromatography.: Explores the use of LiChrospher® 100 RP-8 (5 µm) for the sensitive detection of fluoroquinolone residues in animal tissues, highlighting its potential for food safety and veterinary medicine applications (Posyniak et al., 1999).

  • Rapid and simple determination of oxytetracycline in chicken products.: Demonstrates the column′s efficiency in rapidly quantifying oxytetracycline residues in chicken, ensuring compliance with food safety standards (Furusawa, 1999).

  • Crocheted ETFE-reactor for on-line post-column photoderivatization of diclofenac in high-performance liquid chromatography.: Describes an innovative application involving LiChrospher® 100 RP-8 (5 µm) in a post-column reactor setup to enhance the detection sensitivity of diclofenac, underlining the column′s versatility in advanced analytical techniques (Kuhlmann et al., 1997).
