General description
R2A Agar (Reasoner´s 2A agar) is designed to promote the growth of micro-organisms that grow in low nutrient environments, such as water. The reduced amount of nutrients in the medium allows the growth of aerobic, heterotrophic micro-organisms, which are adapted to low nutrient content. Each settle plate is of 90 mm in diameter, and the packs are single-bagged in transparent, hydrogen peroxide impermeable sleeves (non-irradiated).
Application
R2A Agar plates are designed for the determination of the total microbial count in water for injections in bulk, highly purified water, and purified water in bulk.
