General description

Buffered NaCl-Peptone Solution with 0.1% Tween® 80 has a low content of peptone along with phosphate buffer and sodium chloride that maintain the viability of microorganisms present without supporting growth. Tween® 80 assists the suspension of poorly wettable substances and also serve as a neutralizing agent for disinfectants, such as quaternary ammonium compounds, iodines, and parabens.

Application

Buffered NaCl-Peptone Solution with 0.1% Tween® 80 is designed for the microbial examination of non-sterile pharmaceutical products.
