Fluid Thioglycollate Medium with Neutralizers

Thioglycollate Broth with Tween^®80 is a complex medium designed for the cultivation and isolation of fastidious aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms present in sterility test samples of pharmaceutical industry.
The anaerobic atmosphere is created through reducing the redox potential of the medium by Thioglycollate and L-Cystine. Additionally, these compounds inactivate mercury and other heavy metal elements present in the environment.
Tween^®80 is effective against quaternary ammonium compounds, amphoteric surfactants, benzamidines, chlorhexidines, and dequadin. Tween^®80 inactivates benzyl alcohol, carbanilides, di-chlorobenzyl alcohols, benzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and its esters, phenols, phenylethyl alcohols, and Solbrol (PHB esters).

Thioglycollate Broth with Tween^®80 is used as a sterility testing medium for sterile pharmaceutical samples. FTM clear is mainly used to cultivate and isolate anaerobic and microaerophilic microbes.

Production will take place at Millipore SAS in Molsheim, France. Deliveries will be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions of MLS RTU GmbH. A minimum order quantity is required to process the order. Once the order is placed and confirmed, Merck will ensure product delivery within a maximum timeframe of 10 to 12 weeks.
