Tryptic Soy Broth with Neutralizers

Tryptic Soy Broth with 0.5% Tween^® 80 is a nutrient rich inhibitor free microbial media designed in compliance with European (EP), Japanese (JP) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
The medium is supplemented with peptones from casein and soymeal to provide an enhanced carbon source, which promotes the growth of the microbes present in the test sample.
The neutralizing additives, Polysorbate (Tween^®) 80reverses the growth inhibitory effect of most disinfectants and antiseptics. Neutralizing efficiency of histidine is effective against formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasing agents.
Additionally, Polysorbate 80 inactivates benzyl alcohol, carbanilides, dichlorbenzyl alcohols, benzoic acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid and its esters, phenols, phenylethyl alcohols and Solbrols (PHB esters).

Tryptic Soy Broth with 0.5% Tween^® 80 is used for the isolation and cultivation of fastidious bacteria, yeast. TSB is suitable for sterility testing of substances, preparations, and products from pharmaceutical and food industry.

Production will take place at Millipore SAS in Molsheim, France. Deliveries will be executed in accordance with the terms and conditions of MLS RTU GmbH. A minimum order quantity is required to process the order. Once the order is placed and confirmed, Merck will ensure product delivery within a maximum timeframe of 10 to 12 weeks.
