ReadyPlate™ agar plates are stackable, specially designed plates that help increase safety during handling, transport, and incubation. ReadyPlate™ agar plates are of 55mm diameter. Tryptone Glucose Extract Agar is a non-selective medium used for the cultivation and enumeration of microorganisms in water and other filterable liquids by the membrane filtration technique. Tryptone and meat extract provides nitrogenous, carbonaceous compounds, long-chain amino acids, vitamin B complex, and other essential growth nutrients. Glucose serves as the energy source.
