General description

Native carboxypeptidase B catalyzes the release of C-terminal from basic amino acids, arginine, lysine, or ornithine from polypeptides. Inhibited by EDTA and other Zn2+ chelators. Has an optimal pH of 7.0-9.0 and a pI of 6.0.

Physical form

Lyophilized from 360 µM HEPES, 1.41 µM zinc chloride, 1.41 mg/ml Trehalose, pH 7.4.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 6 months at -20°C.
