General description

A protective agent for SH groups.
Water-soluble, cell-permeable protective reagent for sulfhydryl groups. Maintains monothiols in the reduced state and reduces disulfides quantitatively. Protects protein sulfhydryls and restores enzyme activity lost by the oxidation of sulfhydryl groups in vitro.
