Application
Ghrelin Receptor Antagonist, JMV 2959 has been used to examine oxytocin receptor (OTR) and ghrelin receptor (GHSR) signaling. It has also been used as a GHS-R1a receptor antagonist to pretreat Hek cells followed by pyridone 8 exposure to study its effect on GHS-R1a receptor-mediated calcium influx.

General description
JMV 2959, which blocks the signaling of the growth hormone secretagogue receptor 1A, reduces the deficits in prepulse inhibition induced by the NMDAR antagonist, phencyclidine.
