General description

A cell-permeable, and non-ATP competitive inhibitor of GSK-3β (IC50 = 1 µM). This reactive alkylating agent is selective towards GSK-3β and does not affect PKA activity even at concentrations as high as 100 µM.
A thienyl α-chloromethyl ketone compound that acts as a cell-permeable, irreversible, and non-ATP competitive inhibitor of GSK-3β (IC50 = 1 µM). This reactive alkylating agent is selective towards GSK-3β and does not affect PKA activity even at concentrations as high as 100 µM.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Cell permeable: yes
Product does not compete with ATP.
Reversible: yes
Target IC50: 1 µM against Gsk-3β

Packaging

Packaged under inert gas

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution in DMSO, aliquot and freeze (-20°). DMSO stock solutions are stable for up to 1 week at -20°C. For increased stability reconstitute in chloroform, aliquot, dry under a stream of inert gas, and freeze (-20°C). Reconstitute in fresh DMSO just prior to use.
