Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Slight warming is required for complete solubilization.

Application

2-N-Hexadecanoylamino-4-nitrophenylphosphorylcholinemaybe used to evaluate sphingomyelinase activity. It is also suitable forselective assay of brain sphingomyelinase without intrusion from neutralsphingomyelinase.
