General description
Antibiotic effective against Gram-positive bacteria. Blocks cell wall formation in growing cells, resulting in accumulation of uracil nucleotides of muramic acid peptides. Acts at the final stage of cell wall synthesis and prevents cross-linking of peptidoglycan strands.

Preparation Note
