General description

Full-length, recombinant, human phosphodiesterdase 3A (PDE3A) expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells using a baculovirus expression system. PDE3A is expressed primarily in cardiac and vascular myocytes and platelets. Supplied as a partially purified preparation of catalytically active enzyme useful for inhibitor and activator assays.

Physical form

In 150 mM NaCl, 10 mM Tris, 0.1% NP-40, pH 8.3.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-70°C).

Other Notes

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that is required to convert 1 pmol cAMP to AMP per min at pH 7.5, 30°C.
