General description
RPB3 is one of 12 subunits that make up the complete RNA polymerase, Pol II, the primary RNA polymerase in cellular metabolism. RPB3 is part of the core element of Pol II complex. RPB3 has a central large cleft and the clamp element that moves to open and close the cleft during RNA synthesis. RPB3 naturally localizes to the nucleus and expressed in all cell types and tissues. RPB3 also plays critical roles in RNA splicing and capping, key items of RNA function.
~35 kDa observed
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human RPB3 near the Near C-terminus.
Application
Anti-RPB3 Antibody is an antibody against RPB3 for use in Western Blotting.
Analysis Note
Evaluated by Western Blotting in HUVEC cell lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:500 dilution of this antibody detected RPB3 in 10 µg of HUVEC cell lysate.
