Gene Information

General description
Ephrin type-B receptor 4 (EPHB4) is also called Hepatoma transmembrane kinase, and Tyrosine-protein kinase TYRO11. EPHB4 is a receptor tyrosine kinase that together with EFNB2 is critical to heart morphogenesis and angiogenesis through the regulation of cell adhesion and cell migration. EPHB4 is expressed in placenta, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, skeletal muscle, and heart, as well as primitive and myeloid hematopoietic cells.
~120 kDa observed. The calculated molecular weight is 108 kDa, however EPHB4 has been shown as a ~120 kDa band in western blots (Lee, Y. C., et al. (2005). BMC Cancer. 5(119):1-11).
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to the cytoplasmic domain of human EPHB4.
Application
Detect EphB4 using this rabbit polyclonal antibody, Anti-EPHB4 Antibody validated for use in western blotting.
Analysis Note
Evaluated by Western Blotting in PC3 tissue lysate.
Western Blotting Analysis: 0.5 µg/mL of this antibody detected EPHB4 in 10 µg of PC3 tissue lysate.
