Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1000 dilution of this antibody detected Rab21 in 10 µg of PC12 cell lysate.

This Anti-Rab21 Antibody is validated for use in Western Blotting for the detection of Rab21.

Western Blot Analysis: A 1:1000 dilution of a representative lot of this antibody detected Rab21 in A431, C2C12, HEK293, HeLa, HepG2, Jurkat, L6, Mouse brain, NIH/3T3, PC12, PC3, and RAW264.7 cell lysates. This antibody did not detect Rab21 in Human placenta or Huvec cell lysates.

Western Blot Analysis: A representative lot of this antibody detected Rab21 in melanocyte membrane compartment lysate (Ohbayashi et al., (2012) Mol Biol Cell. 23(4):669-678).

RAB21 is a member of the small GTPase superfamily that is critically important in the recycling of integrin protein receptor complexes and their internalization. Thus, RAB21 is important in cell adhesion and migration of cells, as well as the proper completing of cytokinesis which requires particular care with adherent cells to coordinate the release and recycling of integrin and their release from the ECM matrix during cytokinesis. RAB21 is primarily a cytoplasmic or cytoplasmic organelle localized protein and its precise location will vary with cell cycle and cell division phases. RAB21 is widely expressed particularly in cells in the gut and capillaries where cell division and cell morphological changes are common.
