General description

Protein spindly, otherwise known as the coiled-coil domain-containing protein 99 (CCDC99), is a phosphoprotein that regulates mitosis. It interacts with the Rod/ZW10/Zwilch complex, and is involved in recruiting, docking, and alignment of motor protein dynein at mitotic kinetochores. Spindly may also be involved in checkpoint signaling and microtubule attachment.
~70 kDa observed. This protein is known to exist in two isoforms at 70 kDa and 56 kDa An uncharacterized band may be observed at ~38 kDa in some cell lysates.

Immunogen

GST-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human Protein Spindly.
