General description

Molecular sieve 0.3 nm is a porous solid that can be used in desiccators and drying tubes to dry gases and absolute solvents.

Application

Molecular sieve 0.3 nm can be used as an adsorbent:
  • To remove traces of moisture in chemicals.
  • In ethanol-water mixture purification to obtain pure ethanol.
It can also be used as a catalyst in the condensation of hydroxylamine hydrochloride with aldehydes, ketones, and 1,3-diketones to synthesize aldoximes, ketoximes, and 1,3-dioximes respectively.
