General description

Upgrading to Wi-Fi connectivity and Millicell® Cloud Access:

Scepter 3.0 instruments purchased before January 1st, 2026, do not have Wi-Fi connectivity. Customers can add Wi-Fi connectivity and get cloud connectivity using the following steps:

1. Download the free software at Millicell® Cloud. Select Scepter 3.0 and download the software onto a USB drive. Load this Software onto the Scepter 3.0 device.

2. Place an order for free trial subscription of Millicell® Cloud using the Catalog number MILLICL-TRIAL. Contact our customer service to help you with this.

3. Purchase Wi-Fi dongle: MERS03USBD0N. Insert the USB dongle into the USB port and follow the instructions on the screen. Now your device is ready to access Millicell® Cloud.
The Scepter 3.0 Handheld Automated Cell Counter delivers rapid cell counts in a handheld, easy to use format. Intended for research use only, Scepter 3.0 has been tested with cell types representative of those in use today. After preparing a dilution of the cell culture of interest, on-screen instructions guide the user through the sampling process. In less than 30 seconds after the Scepter Cell Counter aspirates a sample into the Scepter Cell Counter Sensor, the Scepter cell counter′s screen displays:

  • Cell concentration
  • Average cell size
  • Average cell volume
  • Histogram of size or volume distribution
The device stores up to 999 counts, which can be downloaded to the user′s computer and uploaded for further manipulation.

The Scepter 3.0 Cell Counter is compatible with both the 40uM and 60uM Scepter 3.0 Cell Counter Sensors. This kit (PHCC340KIT) includes a free 50-pack of 40uM sensors.

Other Notes

  • 1 Scepter 3.0 Automated Handheld Cell Counter
  • 1 Test Bead Vial
  • 1 Charging Station
  • 50 Sensors (40μM)
The Scepter 3.0 Cell Counter is not compatible with previous generation sensors; only compatible with Scepter 3.0 Cell Counter Sensors shown in the Related Products.
