General description
4-Aminoantipyrine forms heterocyclic Schiff bases, by reaction with various aldehydes and oximes. These Schiff bases form stable complexes with transition metals.
Application
- Phenol impurity and wastewater analysis: Research demonstrated the application of 4-Aminoantipyrine in spectrophotometric determination of phenol impurities in phenoxyethanol and for assessing phenol index in drinking water and municipal wastewater, utilizing salting-out assisted liquid phase microextraction (Roustaei et al., 2024).
- Advanced sensor development for tea polyphenols: Utilization of 4-Aminoantipyrine in developing a novel hybrid sensor array, integrated with polyphenol oxidase and its nanozymes, aided by machine learning to identify tea polyphenols and Chinese teas, showcasing its role in innovative sensor technology (Yang et al., 2024).
