General description
Conductivity: <50 µmhos
Non-ionic detergent useful for the isolation of functional membrane complexes (aggregation number: 40; CMC: 92 mM; HLB number: 16.9). Can be used in protocols that require UV monitoring of the solubilized proteins because of its low UV absorbance (conductivity: <50 µmhos). Has been purified to reduce levels of contaminating aldehydes, metals, peroxides and salts.
