General description
A cell-permeable indazolo-sulfonamide compound that displays broad-spectrum inhibitory activity against RNA Polymerase III (IC50 = 27 and 32 µM for human and S. cerevisiae RNA Pol III, respectively). Inhibits cell growth in yeast by preventing RNA Pol III-mediated tRNA transcription. Also available as a 25 mM solution in DMSO (Cat. No. 557404).

More than 98% of the human genome is comprised of non-protein coding sequences. Interestingly, a considerable fraction of these sequences is transcribed into non-protein coding RNA transcripts. These transcripts range in size from very small RNAs such as the miRNAs

Although central to evolution, the causes of hybrid inviability that drive reproductive isolation are poorly understood. Embryonic lethality occurs when the eggs of the frog X. tropicalis are fertilized with either X. laevis or X. borealis sperm. We observed that distinct subsets of

RNA polymerase III (Pol III) includes two alternate isoforms, defined by mutually exclusive incorporation of subunit POLR3G (RPC7α) or POLR3GL (RPC7β), in mammals. The contributions of POLR3G and POLR3GL to transcription potential has remained poorly defined. Here, we discover that
