Tridecane may be used as internal standard in the analysis of isomeric ratio of diethyl[(1E)-hexa-1,5-dienyl]methylsilane and diethyl[(1E,4E)-hexa-1,4-dienyl]methylsilane obtained via dehydrogenative silylation of hexa-1,5-diene using gas liquid chromatography(GLC).
