General description
Probucol is a diphenolic compound possessing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is commercially used as a lipid lowering drug, which helps in reducing the total plasma cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL).
