  • may be used to create liposome template to synthesize calcium phosphate (CaP) nanoshells
  • may be used as a component in liposomes/lipid bilayers
  • has been used an additive in the medium of neuron-glia mixed culture to study the effects of astrocyte phospholipase D1 (PLD1) on dendritic branching
  • has been used in chemiluminescent assay of cytochrome c Trp59
