1-Hexanol is an organic alcohol, which has application in the synthesis of antiseptics, fragrances, perfumes, etc. It is also used as a component of plasticizers.

Application

1-Hexanol may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in wine, plant samples, flowers, fruits and oil samples by various chromatography techniques.
