Purospher® STAR NH2 (5 µm) HPLC Columns |
Request Information |
Merck offers a broad range of HPLC columns that are fully compliant with USP (United States Pharmacopoeia) specifications. The L8 USP column is described as an essentially monomolecular layer of aminopropylsilane (NH2), chemically bonded to a totally porous silica gel support, 3 to 10 µm in diameter. These criteria are best met by high-quality L8 USP columns, such as Purospher® STAR NH2 (5 µm).
Purospher® STAR NH2 (5 µm) HPLC columns are based on high-purity silica with an amino-bonded phase. The columns are primarily designed for carbohydrate analysis, with a typical mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and water. The benefits of these columns include excellent separation efficiency, and the absence of metallic impurities, resulting in consistently symmetrical peaks. Purospher® STAR NH2 columns are also suitable for use in the normal-phase retention mode.
