General description

A nitric oxide donor that exhibits greater stability than SNAP in aqueous medium, in both the presence and absence of EDTA. The half life of Glyco-SNAP-2 in aqueous medium is 27.4 h at room temperature, in the absence of EDTA, compared to 10.3 h for SNAP. The compound consists of a S-nitroso-N-acetylpencilamine moiety, which acts as a NO-donor, and a sugar fragment, which provides the desired hydrophobicity.
A water-soluble nitric oxide (NO) donor that exhibits greater stability (t½ = 27 hours) than that of SNAP. Exhibits properties similar to those of Glyco-SNAP-1 (Cat. No. 362338).
