General description
Adipokines such as insulin, leptin, resistin, adiponectin, IL-6, TNF-α, MCP-1, and PAI-1 are key regulators of energy metabolism, inflammation, and endocrine signaling. Insulin facilitates glucose uptake, leptin controls appetite and energy balance, and resistin is linked to insulin resistance.
