Application
Thymol is generally added in the Hematoxylin and Eosin staining solution to prevent mould growth. It is also suitable for use in antimicrobial screening by the disk diffusion method. It has been used as a test compound in antifungal assay to assess the susceptibility of various fungal isolates.
