General description
Diethylamine (DEA) is an organic base and a weak σ-donor ligand.
Application
Diethylamine has been used to constitute the extraction solvent mixture for the gas chromatography-mass spectrometric (GC-MS) analysis of melamine and related compounds. It has been also been used as a bond breaking agent in a novel ELISA technique to measure the avidity index (AI) of IgG-anti-PT (Immunoglobulin G-anti-pertussis toxin) antibodies.
It may be used as:
It may be used as:
- An organocatalyst for the preparation of β-phosphonomalononitriles and diethyl (2-amino-3- cyano-chromene-4-yl) phosphonic acid esters.
- A ligand for the synthesis of (N-heterocyclic carbene)PdCl2(diethylamine) complexes.
- A template for the preparation of thermally and hydrothermally stable SAPO-34 (silicoaluminophosphate) molecular sieves.
