General description

Developed for use in immunoassay applications. Dissolving one tablet in 1 liter of deionized H2O yields 140 mM NaCl, 10 mM phosphate buffer, and 3 mM KCl, pH 7.4 at 25°C. Note: 1 each = 10 tablets.

Application

PBS Tablets have been used:
  • as a wash buffer and as a blocking agent during immunohistochemical staining
  • in indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)and enzymatic degradation of polyethylene glycol (PEG)ylated fibrin hydrogels

Preparation Note

Dissolve one tablet in one liter dH₂O to yield 10 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.4, 140 mM NaCl, 3 mM KCl.
Following reconstitution, store in the refrigerator (4°C) or filter sterilize and store at room temperature (20°C).
