Application
Mannose-agarose is used in protein chromatography, affinity chromatography and carbohydrate matrices. Mannose-agarose has been used in studies assessing poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation of mannose-binding lectin out of human kidney cells and to inform mannose-associated serine protease (MASP) activated components of the coagulation system. Mannose-agarose has also been used to study the innate immunity and resistance to Aeromonas salmonicida exhibited by the sea lamprey (Petromyzon marinus), a parasitic cartilaginous fish of the North American Great Lakes and a predator of many bony fish species of commercial importance to the fishing industry.

A mannose-specific lectin was isolated from leaves of Neoregelia flandria, an ornamental plant that belongs to Bromeliaceae, a family of monocotyledons. The amino acid composition and molecular mass of the lectin were similar to those of mannose-specific lectins from other

Lectins are carbohydrate-binding proteins that play vital roles in many biological processes. In this study, lectins from three Egyptian cultivars (fava bean, lentil, and pea) were isolated by precipitation with different concentrations of ammonium sulfate. The purification process was performed

Mannose-binding lectin was identified as a substrate of tankyrase 2, an enzyme that catalyzes poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation. The endogenous tankyrase 2 was isolated out of cytoplasm of human embryonic kidney cells. It was bound to a soluble complex of at least two
