Biochem/physiol Actions

The antibody reacts with the integrin beta1 chain which is a membrane glycoprotein (130 kDa) that can complex with the 6 different alpha-chains of the VLA′s. It is also known as VLA beta1-chain and the fibronectin receptor. The antigen is not expressed on erythrocytes and only weakly stains granulocytes.

T cells: 40 ± 10%
CD4+ cells: 40 ± 20%
CD8+ cells: 40 ± 15%
B cells: 20 ± 5%

Immunoglobulin purified by Protein A affinity chromatography and presented in PBS containing 1mg/mL BSA and 10mM sodium azide
