Application
Methyl cellulose has been used as a supplement of Mammacult media for mammosphere culture from SUM159 TN breast cancer cells. It has also been used to formulate drugs such as ITI-007 and PCC0104005 to characterize their functional activity.
General description
Methyl cellulose is an odorless and tasteless material. It is tough and non-toxic. Due to these properties, methyl cellulose is used as an adhesive in the food packaging industry. In water-soluble adhesives, it is utilized as a thickening agent.
