Analysis Note

These secondary standards offer multi-traceability to the US and EP primary standards, where they are available.

Application

An excellent chelating agent.
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
Nitrilotriacetic acid can be used as an internal standard in the determination of nitrilotriacetic acid in water.

General description

Nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) is a polyaminopolycarboxylic acid, widely used as a synthetic chelating agent. It forms stable and water-soluble chelates with different metals. It is used as a detergent builder to soften water and for masking metal ions in various industrial processes.
Pharmaceutical secondary standards for application in quality control, provide pharma laboratories and manufacturers with a convenient and cost-effective alternative to the preparation of in-house working standards.
