General description
Hexane-1-sulfonicacid sodium salt is a commonly used ion-pair reagent in ion-pairchromatography. It is used as an ion-pair reagent to generate neutralequilibrium with the analytes, leading to increased retention and improvedseparation during the chromatographic analysis.
Application
Hexane-1-sulfonic acid sodium salt can be used as a:
- Part of the mobile phase composition in an HPLC stability-indicating method for the simultaneous determination of water-soluble vitamins and preservatives.
- Buffer component in a reverse-phase ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) method for the simultaneous determination of Sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate and Metformin hydrochloride in pharmaceutical dosage forms.
