Descripción

General description

An anthranilic acid analog that acts as a potent inhibitor of VEGF- and vascular permeability factor-induced angiogenesis and collagen synthesis. Inhibits VEGF- and PMA-stimulated PKC activity in retinal capillary endothelial cells without affecting the VEGF binding or VEGF receptor phosphorylation. Also has antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, and antiproliferative properties. Induces Ca²⁺ mobilization in vascular smooth muscle.
